PL Capital, LLC manages financial
sector partnerships specializing in identifying and acquiring
stakes in undervalued
banks and thrifts, and participating in the long term consolidation
of the banking industry. The LP focuses on publicly
traded banks/thrifts with between $200 million to $10 billion
in assets, operating in attractive market areas, which are
undervalued and: (1) candidates for restructuring to improve
earnings and/or (2) potential takeover candidates.
The principals of PL Capital engage in aggressive efforts
to effect change in the portfolio companies through
(where needed) proxy contests, board representation, management
changes, shareholder proposals, etc.
PL Capital strives for long term capital appreciation significantly
ahead of the general market and bank/thrift
benchmarks, with lower volatility and is generally tax efficient
(long term capital gains). |
